Why use an encyclopedia? Why not just search the internet?
Information in an encyclopedia has been written by an expert and edited, which means that you can trust the information to be accurate and up to date. While searching for information on the internet can seem 'quick and easy' not all information is accurate. An encyclopedia article is always a good place to start any research inquiry or project, whether it is gathering background information or searching for details. World Book print and electronic are used at Kent School.
