Maggie deVries Comes to Kent School

Celebrated Canadian author, Maggie deVries spent an afternoon in our school library with our grades 3 and 4 students last week. She talked about her books, her inspiration for writing, and how important it is for all kids to create something.
She introduced us to her picture books, her chapter books, and her nonfiction books. Her stories really brought the books to life and our students were eager to sign them out.

This author visit was sponsored by our Fraser Valley Regional Library and organized by our local branch supervisor Terrill Scott.
Thanks, Terrill!  Check out Maggie's books when you are next in the library.
